A truly incredible season for Manchester City, 2018/19 saw them become the first team in the history of English football to win all 4 major domestic trophies in the same season. They won the Premier League, the EFL Cup, the FA Cup, and the Community Shield, giving them a ridiculous win ratio of 81.97% over 61 games in total.
In the Premier League they fought a pitched battle with Liverpool for the top spot, but it was City’s title to lose for the last 8 weeks or so, eventually taking the crown by a single point. They couldn’t get passed Tottenham in the Quarter final of the Champions League though, going out 4-4 on aggregate.
There were some very high scores for City this season too, with a 9-0 walloping of Burton Albion topping the lot, but they also had 7-0 wins against Rotherham and Shalke 04, plus four games in which they scored 6. Sergio Aguero was absolutely on fire netting 3 hattricks in the Premier League and 32 goals in all competitions.
