As always, we’re on the hunt for banker home football bets this Saturday. It’s great finding value, but at this time of the season, that comes in the way of teams we can rely on, not simply going for an outsider to get a bigger price.
We’ve scored the leagues for the best possible home angles on the biggest betting day of the week, looking to land ourselves a tidy punt.
Derby to Beat Sheffield United @ 5/6

The first thing to note is that none of Saturday’s Premier League home teams can be called bankers. None. We instead switched our attention to the early kick-offs in the Championship. It’s the final day of a marathon season, with all sides kicking off at 12:30.
In that division, Derby have chipped away and have given themselves a shot at a play-off place. They face Sheffield United, who started the season with ambitions of going back up to the Premier League, but finish it very limply indeed. Another no-show is what we expect, with the Rams taking the points.
Millwall to Beat Oxford @ 1/3

Millwall have surprised us all this season. Even if it’s just a case of finishing third and playing, points-wise, an inferior team in the play-offs, they can’t afford to let things slip now and we don’t expect them to.
Oxford are heading off to League One now, and they have one more nasty task on their hands – one we don’t think they’ll handle.
Wycombe to Beat Rotherham @ 4/9

There’s always a chance on the final day, as it is in League One, that players’ minds are already on their holidays. We’ll trust mid-table Wycombe though, as they will want one more big day in front of their fans before calling it a day.
They’ve managed 16 wins this season and now play relegated Rotherham. Having drawn 3-3 at Huddersfield recently, Wycombe went down narrowly at home to Blackpool before succumbing 4-3 at Lincoln. There’s plenty of goals in them, and they can net a couple here.
Plymouth to Beat Northampton @ 4/11

OK, we know, we’ve called it “home bankers”, but we’re slipping one away side in here and that’s Plymouth.
To explain this one, let’s start with Stevenage. We looked at them, being odds-on at home against Wigan, but that cannot be relied upon. Either side of their devastating 5-1 loss at Bolton, they’ve been involved in eight games out of nine that have finished 0-0, 1-0, or 1-1. They don’t score enough goals.
They face Wigan, themselves off the back of a 0-0 draw and a 1-0 defeat. That could be a dire encounter, but why is it important here?
Well, Stevenage occupy the final play-off place in this division but are getting nervous. They are one point above Luton, who have to play away, and two above Plymouth who are quite rightly smelling blood.
Argyle go to rock-bottom Northampton this Saturday who offer little threat, while they come into the match five unbeaten. We reckon they will make their dominance count, especially given the prize potentially on offer.
East Kilbride to Beat Clyde @ 4/7

We’re down in Scottish League Two for this one. East Kilbride have risen through the ranks over the years and come into this match top of the division. They do place third-placed Clyde, but they are 10 points above them having won six more games this season.
The home side won away from home last time out and have now won six home games in a row, scoring 18 goals in the process. To average three goals a game at any period of the season is impressive, but to do it with a championship on the line when it really counts shows they have the minerals.
They should have no trouble in putting away a Clyde side one away win in six.
