- QPR vs Sheffield Wednesday: Yes – If this was a Championship game we would be very keen on BTTS, so we can’t back down even though this is an FA Cup tie. QPR have an in-form front three in Wells, Eze and Bright-Samuel, but they also have the third worst defence in the second tier and have kept just one clean sheet in their last seven league outings – Leeds missed a penalty in that effort, too. Expect a big performance from Sheffield Wednesday here, who were battered 0-5 by Blackburn last time out.
- Coventry City vs Birmingham City: Yes – Here’s one of those ultra-rare occasions when both teams are technically playing a home, given that this duo are sharing St Andrews for now. Both are in decent enough form, and both are witnessing plenty of goals in their matches – BTTS has landed in 11 of Birmingham’s last 13 outings, while Coventry last failed to find the net on November 2.
- West Ham vs West Brom: Yes – If West Brom weren’t on such a poor run of form you suspect the odds would be a lot closer for this one, but the Baggies have now gone six without a win in the Championship. However, they continue to create lots of high-quality chances, and they will head to London with a ‘let’s give it a go’ attitude. David Moyes has made the Hammers a more compact outfit, but they have still shipped in four of their last five games.
- Burton Albion vs Accrington Stanley: Yes – Burton are so strong on home soil that they are always expected to find the net in front of their own supporters, and five wins from their last six anywhere – with 13 goals netted – reveals their confidence. Accrington, meanwhile, are no strangers to finding the net themselves: they’ve scored in each of their last nine outings.
- Ipswich Town vs Lincoln City: Yes – These two met on December 29 and it ended 5-3 to Lincoln! That’s not to say that this game will descend into a goal fest as well, but the signs are there. Ipswich have scored ten times in their last five outings with one clean sheet, while the Imps have troubled the scorers in each of their last six – five of which have yielded BTTS verdicts.
