Tottenham had their best ever start to a Premier League season in 2021/22 under new manager Nuno Espírito Santo, winning 3 on the bounce; but just 7 games and 5 losses later, he was replaced by Antonio Conte, who ultimately guided them to a 4th place finish.
It’s fair to say that the team found their feet towards the end of the season, and once again one of their number won the Golden Boot, Son Heung-min this time taking the trophy, but his goals weren’t enough to win Tottenham any silver.
They didn’t even make it out of the group stages in the Champions League, and exited the FA Cup in the 5th round after a 1-0 defeat to Middlesbrough. The EFL Cup was their most successful competition where the got to the semi finals, but their win ratio for the season was just a middling 53.70%.
